The DHS Learning Learning Management System (LMS) delivers training through hundreds of different online courses.
Check out (1) the Recent Learning block on your dashboard, where courses you’re currently enrolled in are listed—including any required courses that the system automatically enrolled you in based on your service area or job role.
You may still need to enroll yourself. View the course list by selecting Find Courses > All Courses from (2) the navigation bar at the top of the page.
Or, search for the course directly from (3) the Search Courses block on the left side of your dashboard.
Activities are the building blocks of courses, and each course can include any number and combination of activities. Seminars (LYNC or in-person), Forums, Feedback, Quizzes, Assignments, Learning Modules and Certificates are the most common activities.
Tip: every course homepage shows Your Progress: a square or round checkbox is displayed opposite each activity title, which will appear with a tick (checkmark) once the activity is complete.
You must be enrolled in the online course first. Once you’re in the course, sign up for the event session that works for you.
Remember: you must (a) enroll in the course and (b) sign up for the seminar/training to be able to attend and receive credit. Most courses also require you to (c) return to the online course and complete additional activities.
Select Team from (2) the navigation bar at the top of the page to view the account details and course progress of learners who report to you.
