Unenroll from a Course

Courses that are open for self-service enrollment are also open for self-service unenrollment, in case you enroll yourself by mistake or change your mind about taking an optional course.
Unenroll from a Course

All courses that allow self-enrollment also allow self-unenrollment. If available, the Unenroll option is located in the Administration block on the left-hand side of the course homepage.

Example DHS Learning course homepage ("Quality Standards"), highlighting the Administration block on the left-hand side, below the course-specific navigation menu.

To Unenroll:

  1. On the course page, locate the Administration block on the left-hand side (below the course-specific navigation block).
  2. Click Course administration to display the available options.
  3. Select Unenroll me from [Course Title].
If you don’t see this option, you probably don’t have permission to unenroll yourself.
  4. When asked “Do you really want to unenroll yourself from course [Course Title]” select Continue to complete the process.
The Administration block, with the Course Administration option expanded, displaying an arrow highlighting the "Unenroll me from [course title]" option.
Unenrollment confirmation warning message: "Do you really want to unenroll yourself from course [Course Title]?", with an arrow highlighting the "Continue" option.
