Your account profile information must be accurate to ensure that you can access the training you need. Fortunately, most of your employee information is transferred from DHS’s HR database automatically.
However, you should still check to make sure your profile details are correct whenever you log in for the first time, begin a new role, or change office locations.
Watch: About Your Account Profile
Open ‘Edit Profile’ Page:
- Select your name in the upper right-hand corner of the DHS Learning screen and choose Profile from the menu.

- Under the User Details heading, click Edit Profile.

There are five sections of your profile:
- General
- User picture
- Additional names
- Optional
- DHS Specific
Select a category name to open or close it.

Click the Expand all/Collapse all link in the top right-hand corner to view/hide all the categories’ contents at once.
Finalize Profile Info:
Complete these three tasks to make sure your account profile is accurate and complete:
- Check for errors in your existing profile information (click here to learn more)
- Update your Role (click here to learn more)
- Add optional profile information if desired (click here to learn more)
It can take up to 24 hours after your account is newly created for all your profile information to be added to the DHS Learning system from the HR database, so we recommend that you wait at least one business day before reviewing and finalizing your account profile.
