As discussed in the article About Quizzes, Tests & Assessments, there’s a wide variety of question types and behaviors that can be specified by the course creator. This article provides an overview of common Question Behavior settings, how to recognize them, and what they mean for you as a learner.
Deferred Feedback
Quizzes with deferred feedback require you to select an answer for each question before submitting the entire quiz to be graded and given feedback all at once.
Immediate Feedback
Quizzes with immediate feedback require you to submit each answer individually, to be immediately graded and given feedback. You can only submit one response for each question, and cannot change it later.
Interactive Mode (multiple attempts)
Quizzes set to interactive mode also require you to submit each answer individually, to be immediately graded and given feedback.
- If your answer is incorrect, you must click the Try again button and reattempt the question.
- If you answer incorrectly too many times, the question will be locked and you will be assigned an incorrect (or partially correct) grade before moving on to the next question.
